Including the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Tepeyac Hill in Mexico City, and then head to Tepoztlan, continuing through San Miguel Allende, Guanajuato, San Juan de los Lagos, Guadalajara, Zapopan, Patzcuaro, Morelia and optionally Tlaxcala and Puebla, visiting the most important cathedrals and churches in each region.

Breakfast. Visit to the Plaza de las Tres Culturas and the interior of the Church of Santiago Tlatelolco, seat of the first archbishop of Mexico, Friar Juan de Zumarraga, whom Juan Diego visited after the apparitions and where, when he dropped the roses, the image of the Virgin miraculously appeared on his cloak. Panoramic visit to the archaeological zone of Tlatelolco.

Next, we will visit the Basilica of Guadalupe to pray, venerate and admire her. We will visit the interior of the new basilica where we can take photos next to the original mantle of the brunette virgin and listen to mass and if possible, our priest will officiate mass in one of the chapels of the basilica, which can be scheduled in advance; we will also visit the church of Pocito, the first hermitage, the chapel of Indians and the great basilica that is only opened on very special occasions, given its deterioration as a result of the sinking it has suffered over the centuries. Visit to the top of the Tepeyac Hill, where the Virgin appeared to Juan Diego and there, she gave him the roses that she took to the archbishop in Santiago Tlaltelolco. The visit will take all the time necessary, since it is one of the most important objectives of our pilgrimage. We will also have time to shop for religious items and watch a film about the history of the Virgin of Guadalupe and be able to observe the image of Juan Diego captured in the eyes of the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe.

Pyramids of Teotihuacan

In the afternoon we will continue our journey to the majestic archaeological zone of the Teotihuacan pyramids. We will also visit Tulpetlac, where the Indian Juan Diego lived, and the Acolman monastery, which dates back to the 16th century.

Day 3
Mexico City

Today we will visit the modern and ancient avenues of Mexico City to visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Plaza de Santo Domingo and its Church built by the Dominican order in 1576, as well as the Chapel of the Virgin of the Rosary, the first in America. We will see the National Palace and also make a panoramic visit to the Templo Mayor, built by the Aztecs in 1319. We will arrive at the Church of San Francisco and the Temple of the Profesa and then we will head towards the second most venerated sanctuary in the city, which is the Temple of San Hipolito where the image of San Judas Tadeo is found, which is venerated by all the people of Mexico. We will continue with the visit to the modern Zona Rosa, Polanco, Chapultepec and the area of ​​the most important museums in Mexico. We will travel along Insurgentes Avenue passing by the Siqueiros Cultural Poliforum, the Insurgentes Theater until we reach the Carmen Church, its museum and convent in San Angel and the San Jacinto Plaza and its impressive colonial neighborhood. We continue to the Chimalistac neighborhood and its 16th century church and continue by the Autonomous University of Mexico to appreciate its murals, the work of the most famous Mexican painters. We will see the Cuicuilco pyramid and from here we continue to the San Bernardino temple.

Later we will arrive at Xochimilco to take a ride on a Trajinera or Pre-Hispanic boat. Then we will go to Coyoacan to visit the 16th century residential neighborhood and arrive at the temple of San Juan Bautista to pray, appreciate its impressive paintings and the Blessed Sacrament that is always on display. We will also visit the church of Santa Catalina, both from the 16th century.

Saint Michael of Miracles / Cacaxtla / Tlaxcala

Day 4
Basilica of Our Lady of Ocotlan

We continue our pilgrimage to San Miguel de los Milagros, where the apparitions of the Archangel Michael took place, we will visit the grotto where his sanctuary was built, as well as the well of its miraculous waters and its large collection of votive offerings. We will also visit the impressive archaeological sites of Cacaxtla and Xochitecatl, located in the same region.

We will continue to the city of Tlaxcala where we will visit the impressive Basilica of Our Lady of Ocotlan, famous for its appearance, which was captured on the trunk of a tree that burned when it appeared to Juan Bernardino in 1541 and which is located in this famous sanctuary.

Return to Mexico City.

Mexico City - Tepotzotlan - Queretaro

Day 5

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel. Departure to Tepotzotlan to visit this picturesque town and see its famous temple of San Francisco Javier. In this magnificent monastery we will visit the most important museum of colonial religious art in Mexico. In transit we will visit Cuautitlan and its chapel built on the place where San Juan Diego lived with his uncle Juan Bernardino, to whom the Virgin also appeared.

Queretaro

We continue to San Juan del Rio and then to Queretaro, which is considered one of the most beautiful colonial cities. We will see its aqueduct, its squares, its mansions, its Historic Center, its alleys and its beautiful churches. We will visit the Convents of Santa Rosa and Santa Clara and the world-famous Temple of the Cross. We will also visit the famous jewelry stores of Queretaro that offer beautiful varieties of Opals that are native to these lands. In the evening, visit the Historic Center to listen to Mexican music, have dinner, shop and enjoy this splendid city.

Queretaro - San Miguel de Allende - Guanajuato

Day 6
San Miguel de Allende

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel. Visit to San Miguel de Allende, a large historic city full of civil and religious architecture from the colonial era. In this city, which is also home to the Allende Institute, we will see its impressive Gothic-style temple, unique in Mexico, and we will walk along its streets, alleys and its very varied shops.

Guanajuato

We continue to Guanajuato, one of the most spectacular mining cities of the colonial era. We will walk through its unforgettable underground streets, squares, churches and theaters. This city is home to the international Cervantes festival and the iconographic museum of Don Quixote, unique in the world.

Visit to the parish of Our Lady of Guanajuato, the temple and mine of Valenciana and the church of Villaseca, which is highly venerated and visited for having granted so many favors and miracles to our population.

Visit to one of its mines and the pantheon of mummies.

Guanajuato - San Juan de los Lagos - Guadalajara

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel. This will be another wonderful day. Continuing our pilgrimage, we will pass by the Cerro del Cubilete, which has at its highest point an impressive sculpture of Christ the King, which is located in the geographical center of Mexico.

San Juan de los Lagos

We will pass through Silao and arrive at Leon, the shoe and leather capital of Mexico, where we will have time for shopping and from there we will continue to one of the most impressive, famous and picturesque places in Mexico, San Juan de los Lagos, where the second most important sanctuary in Mexico is located to venerate the miraculous image of the Virgin of San Juan de los Lagos. Here the fervor of thousands of pilgrims who visit it daily, as well as the great energy that surrounds this miraculous sanctuary, come together. After praying, listening to mass and worshiping the Virgin, we will move on to Guadalajara. At night, visit Tlaquepaque to listen to the Mariachis and enjoy this picturesque place.

We will visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Zapopan, which is highly venerated in this region for all the miracles that its faithful have received from it.

We will also visit the Cathedral and the most representative and beautiful places in Guadalajara, its gardens, the Cabanas hospice and the Government Palace. Its modern avenues, squares and neighborhoods. In the afternoon, visit Tlaquepaque and its famous craft centers.

Guadalajara - Patzcuaro

Departure to Michoacan where we will visit the monastery of Tzintzuntzan, which was one of the most important places of Evangelization and conversion in the 16th century and here we will be able to witness a miracle: "The Christ that grows." Later we will visit the artisan center of Tzintzuntzan and continue to visit the Yacatas which is one of the most important Archaeological Zones of the Tarascan culture.

We will continue to Patzcuaro to visit the Church of the Virgin of Health, the old Michoacan Cathedral, the lake of Patzcuaro, the house of the eleven patios and enjoy all the flavor of this picturesque city.

We continue our pilgrimage to Morelia where we will find one of the most beautiful Cathedrals in Mexico: The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe, an impressive example of Mexican baroque.

In Morelia we will walk through its aqueduct and its squares and buildings that speak of the wealth and grandeur of this city that dates back to colonial times, and we will be able to buy and enjoy its famous variety of sweets typical of this region.

We continue to the city of Toluca for a panoramic tour. We will visit the majestic Convent of the Desert of the Lions, nestled in the national park of the same name. We will continue through Santa Fe and Bosques de las Lomas, known as the new Mexico City.

Finally, we head to Mexico City where according to your preference we have the following options:

Mexico City - Puebla

Day 11
Huejotzingo Monastery

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel. Our first visit will be to the indigenous town of San Martin Texmelucan where we will visit its craft exhibition center. From there we will move to San Miguel Huejotzingo, an indigenous town full of history and where we will visit its majestic 16th century monastery where the first Franciscan friars who arrived in these lands created one of the most important centers of evangelization and conversion of indigenous people to Catholicism. This place is also one of the most important cider production centers in Mexico.

Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Remedies
Great Pyramid of Cholula

We continue our journey and arrive at the indigenous city of Cholula, famous for having 365 colonial churches, one for each day of the year, which is why it is always festive. Here we will visit the San Gabriel parish.

We will visit the Great Pyramid of Cholula, which is one of the largest pyramidal foundations in the world. In the archaeological zone you can visit: the site museum, a tunnel inside the pyramid and two ceremonial courtyards.

Upon ascending to the top of the pyramid you will arrive at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Remedies, the Catholic church with domes covered in Talavera that the Franciscans built in the 16th century, on top of the Great Pyramid of Cholula.

Saint Mary Tonantzintla

We will stop to see two beautiful churches that are representative of Mexican Baroque:

The church of Santa Maria Tonantzintla is the only temple in Mexico where the Franciscans, who evangelized ancient Mexico, allowed indigenous beliefs to be reflected in the main dome of the chapel. Tonantzintla means “place of Our Little Mother,” since there was a pyramidal base dedicated to Tonantzin, goddess of fertility and corn.

San Francisco Acatepec

The Temple of San Francisco de Asis Acatepec, considered a masterpiece of Mexican baroque. Its façade dates back to the 18th century and is covered with ceramic tiles made by master potters specifically for the temple in white and blue for the Virgin Mary, and in green and yellow for Saint Joseph. It was said at that time that the temple was made of porcelain and that it was worthy of being kept under a glass canopy.

Cathedral of Puebla

Continuing our pilgrimage, we will arrive at the city of Puebla, named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, to appreciate the wonderful colonial architecture of this city.

The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception is the most representative monument of this city. The Cathedral of Puebla was built between the 16th and 17th centuries. Its towers are the highest of all Latin American cathedrals and were not completed until the 18th century. Its interior has been preserved as an example of New Spanish art.

The Chapel of the Rosary

We will visit the church of Santo Domingo and its famous Chapel of the Rosary, considered the eighth wonder of the art world, the Plaza de Armas, the hidden Convent of Santa Monica that operated clandestinely for many years and was rediscovered until 1934, as well as the most beautiful and representative squares and places of this city.

The Lord of Wonders

Then we will move to visit the most important and most venerated Sanctuary of Puebla and the most important place of our visit to this region "The Lord of Wonders", which is visited by thousands of people daily, because it is considered very miraculous.

In the afternoon we will have time to buy Talavera and onyx pottery, which are native to this region.

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel. In the morning, we will head towards the Sierra, to the town of San Andres Buenavista to see its impressive boat-shaped church. Very original both in its architecture and in its decoration with pre-Hispanic motifs, this church is dedicated to Saint Andrew the Apostle and is known as "The Boat of Faith." Its bell tower is a huge lighthouse, which connects to the boat by a bridge with feathered serpents on its railings. On the upper floor is the temple, completely covered in wood and with a capacity for 4,500 people.

Here we will also take a tour through the courtyards of the Xochuca hacienda, where we will learn the secrets of the Maguey "Tree of Wonders"

Tlaxco

We will continue our tour to the Magical Town of Tlaxco, which through its religious syncretism, shows us how faith transcends time and culture. Its magic comes from the ingenuity and skill of its people, who with their hands create beautiful decorative pieces and delicious artisanal cheeses, which have given regional fame to this unique town in the Tlaxcala mountains. To finish, we will visit a silver workshop where crafts of very varied designs are made.
